Joseph H. Franks, M.D. Dr. Joseph Franks founded Urban Allure in hopes of providing a comfortable and private atmosphere for his clients to come and receive clinical skin care and laser treatments from his licensed professional staff. Dr. Franks graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Southern California Medical School and completed his residency and fellowship here in San Francisco at UCSF. He is a board certified surgeon and has studied and been certified by the Laser Training Consortium to perform cosmetic laser procedures. His professional memberships include the American Medical Association, California Medical Association, Alpha Omega Alpha National Honor Society and The International Medical Spa Association. Dr. Franks’ philosophy is simple…“Team work works”…meaning he is passionate about working closely (as a team) with the RN’s and esthetician on staff to ensure that his clients receive the most professional, personal and effective treatment and care possible. Erin Galvin, R.N. Erin, a Bay Area native is licensed by the California Board of Registered Nursing. She is a member of the Dermatology Nurse’s Association, California Nurse’s Association, as well as The International Medical Spa Association. She’s worked in the fields of Pediatric Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant as well as Cosmetic Dermatology for over 6 years. She has specialized training in laser physics, hair and skin anatomy, laser treatment protocol and laser safety. Extensive experience in laser hair removal as well as photorejuvenation has earned her a large following of dedicated clients who appreciate her professionalism as well as supportive and compassionate bedside manner. Emily Witschi, R.N., BSN Emily has been in nursing for more than 5 years, over 3 of which have been spent specializing in the therapeutic applications of lasers for permanent hair reduction and facial rejuvenation. She has specific training and experience in hair and skin anatomy, pre and post laser treatment protocols, laser safety as well as laser physics. Her credentials include memberships in the Dermatology Nurse’s Association, California Nurse’s Association, Sigma Theta Tao Honor Society and The International Medical Spa Association. In addition to working at Urban Allure, Emily is a Pediatric Oncology nurse at UCSF. She is very excited to be a part of a dynamic team of physicians, RN’s and medical estheticians who all have the same vision… treating clients to a professional, clinical and relaxing experience at Urban Allure. Rocio Guzman, LE, C.I.D.E.S.C.O. Diplomat Rocio believes that skincare does not have to be complex to be effective. Her focus is on educating her clients to help them achieve their skincare goals. She thoroughly assesses each client’s skin and applies a combination of luxury and efficacy to provide relaxing, yet results oriented skincare. Rocio is a CA Licensed Medical Aesthetician and C.I.D.E.S.C.O. Diplomat-the major international beauty therapy association, whose certification is considered the world’s most prestigious qualification in the field of aesthetics and beauty therapy. She has received advanced training in various holistic and medical spa modalities to treat premature aging, acne and hyperpigmenation. She also specializes in the Environ Prescription Facial, male skin care, acne, and precision brow shaping. After years of experience working alongside physicians and nurses in medical spas, Rocio has come to join us at Urban Allure.
