We are proud to offer SkinMedica® Peels

TAKE YOUR GLOW FURTHER.

Chemical Peels

Chemical Peels cause damaged or dead skin to fall away allowing new, smoother and healthy skin to regenerate. Used to treat the face, neck, chest, arms, hands, and legs. We offer a variety of peels in varying degrees of strength. Chemical peels take no more than 30 minutes and can be performed in conjunction with other treatments.

Modern science now offers people a variety of choices of chemical peels that are specially formulated for individual skin types. Today’s peels are absolutely reliable and deliver highly predictable results. Formulas for chemical peels can be adjusted by your doctor to treat your specific needs and to create your desired results. A series of chemical peels is typically required to achieve these desired results.

What Are the Different SkinMedica Peels?

There are three different types of SkinMedica peels. Each is designed for a different skin type and addresses different skin conditions. Results vary in different degrees of peeling post-treatment.

The Illuminize Peel

The SkinMedica Illuminize Peel is designed for those who have mild problematic skin conditions. This particular peel will help:

  • Improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

  • Help address sun damage

  • Treat pigmentation issues and irregularities

How Often Should I Receive Treatments?

This particular peel can be performed every two weeks as a way to improve the appearance of the skin. During your initial peel treatment, your provider will develop a customized plan based on the needs of your skin so that you get the best results.

Is There Any Downtime?

This peel does not require that patients plan around any downtime. Those who undergo treatment will experience very minimal skin peeling post-treatment, if any.

The Vitalize Peel

The Vitalize Peel is a step up from the Illuminize Peel. While they both treat the same skin types, this peel is stronger than the Illuminize Peel. It helps address and correct mild to moderate problematic skin conditions. This peel can help treat:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles

  • The signs of sun damage

  • Acne

  • Acne scars

  • Hyperpigmentation

  • Melasma

How Often Should I Receive Treatments?

This particular peel can be performed every three to four weeks. The recommended treatment plan typically includes three to six total treatments to improve the skin and to experience the best results. Since everyone’s skin is different, your provider will recommend a treatment plan based on your skin during your first peel appointment.

Is There Any Downtime?

Since this peel is stronger than the Illuminize Peel, there is some minimal downtime associated with it. Patients typically experience mild to moderate skin peeling that lasts anywhere from two to five days post-treatment.

The Rejuvenize Peel

The Rejuvenize Peel is the strongest peel in the SkinMedica Peel family. This peel is designed to treat:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles

  • The signs of sun damage

  • Acne

  • Acne scars

  • Hyperpigmentation

  • Melasma

How Often Should I Receive Treatments?

The Rejuvenize Peel can be performed every four to six weeks. The typical treatment plan usually includes three to six total treatments for skin improvement and for the best results. Your provider will develop a treatment plan that best suits your skin and your needs once you begin treatment.

Is There Any Downtime?

Since this is the strongest of the three peels, there is some downtime associated with it, although it is only a minimal amount of downtime. Patients who undergo this particular treatment will experience moderate skin peeling that lasts anywhere from two to five days.

Which Peel Is Right for Me?

If you want to experience one of these peels but you aren’t sure which one is right for your skin type, that is perfectly ok. Prior to treatment, your provider will analyze your your skin, discuss your concerns, and help determine which peel is right for you and your needs.
